TITLE
ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN APPROVING THE FIRST RENEWAL TO THE ICE RINK AGREEMENT (#A18-1134) WITH ALBERTUS MAGNUS COLLEGE.

BODY
WHEREAS, the City of New Haven (the "City") owns the Ralph Walker Ice Rink (the "Ice Rink") and recently completed a renovation which has transformed the Ice Rink into a best-in-class class community resource;

WHEREAS, Albertus Magnus College ("Albertus") is a private liberal arts college located in the Prospect Hill and Newhallville neighborhoods of New Haven;

WHEREAS, the City and Albertus entered into an Agreement (#A18-1134) to support the renovation of the Ice Rink, extend community engagement as regards use of the Ice Rink and cooperate in establishing the Ice Rink as the home of the Albertus collegiate hockey teams in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement;

WHEREAS, Albertus was recently awarded grant funds via the State of Connecticut Community Investment Fund whcih will enable Albertus to develop support spaces for the Albertus women's hockey team at the Ice Rink; and

WHEREAS, City and Albertus wish to extend the partnership, not only through rental of the Ice Rink for the Albertus men's and women's hockey program but also through community programming.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED that the City hereby approves the execution and delivery of the first renewal agreement between the City and Albertus in substantially the form attached hereto (the "Agreement") together with any and all ancillary documentation to be entered into thereunder, including (without limitation) any renewals of the Agreement in accordance with the provision therein contained and any other agreements which may reasonably be required or deemed appropriate to further the implementation of the Project in accordance with this order (the "Ancillary Documents").
