ORDER OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERS APPROVING THE PARKS COMMISSION TO ACCEPT THE DONATION OF A SCULPTURE AT WOOSTER MEMORIAL PARK FROM THE NEW HAVEN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA IN DEDICATION OF ALASDAIR NEALE AND FOR THE CITY TO EXECUTE ANY NECESSARY DOCUMENTS.

WHEREAS, the City of New Haven desires to continue to improve its parks facilities and provide cultural landmarks and public art for its residents and the community at large; and,
WHEREAS, the New Haven Symphony Orchestra has expressed an interest in donating a musical sculpture in memory of Alasdair Neale; and,
WHEREAS, the sculpture shall also include a plaque outlining the intention of this gift to honor Alasdair Neale; and,
WHEREAS, the City of New Haven through its Parks Department is committed to installation of the donated equipment through its in-house forces; and,
WHEREAS, the Parks Commission approved of the donation and location at its September meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED THAT the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven approve the Parks Commission to accept the donation of a sculpture at Wooster Memorial Park from the New Haven Symphony Orchestra in dedication of Alasdair Neale.
