WHEREAS Article VIII, Section 3 of the City Charter and Section 2-383 (1) of the Code of General Ordinances requires the approval of the Board of Alders for the transfer of funds within the General Fund Operating Budget, as adopted; and

WHEREAS, Section 2-376 (A) of the Code of General Ordinances requires Board of Alders approval for any city contract that does not go to bid that costs more than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00); and

WHEREAS The Office of Corporation Counsel legal service budget is projected to go over budget for fiscal year 2022-23; and

WHEREAS The legal service agreements of Maccini, Voccio & Jordan, Susman, Duffy & Segaloff, Howd & Ludorf, Karsten Tallberg And Milano And Wanat will exceed $100,000 for fiscal year 2022-2023; and

WHEREAS, The City of New Haven Public Health, Office of the Assessor, and FINANCE-Technology are projecting to have lapsed salary to cover the additional cost for legal service expenditures for fiscal year 2022-2023.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the New Haven Board of Alders that

Section 1. Transfer #133-23-2 be approved to transfer $600,000 from Public Health ($400,000), Office of the Assessor ($100,000), and Finance-Technology ($100,000) salary account to the Office of Corporation Counsel legal service account.
