ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT #1 TO AGREEMENT 2024-CON-0235 AND AGREEMENT 2024-CON-0236 WITH BERCHEM MOSES PC AGREEMENTS FOR THE BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2023 TO JUNE 30, 2024.

WHEREAS, the New Haven Board of Education (the “Board”) and Board of Education, Berchem Moses PC. (the “Vendor”) are the parties (collectively the “Parties”); and
WHEREAS, the Parties reached tentative agreements 2024-CON-0235 and 2024-CON-0236 entitled Agreements with Berchem Moses PC for Legal Services, July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024 (the “2023-2024 Agreements”); and
WHEREAS, the district staff submitted the Agreements with Berchem Moses PC for Legal Services to the Board, which was approved at its February 26th 2024 Board of Education meeting; and
WHEREAS, amendment #1 to Agreements 2023-CON-0235 and 2023-CON-0236 with Berchem Moses PC will increase total funding in an amount not to exceed $220,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of New Haven requires the approval of the Board of Alders for professional services agreements in excess of $100,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED, by the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven that the amendments to Agreements 2024-CON-0235 and 2024-CON-0236 with Berchem Moses PC for Legal Services is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED, that the President of the Board of Education or the Mayor is authorized to execute the 2023-2024 Agreements as well as such additional instruments as may be deemed necessary or expedient to implement the terms of the 2023-2024.
