ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS AUTHORIZING THE USE OF AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT (ARPA) FUNDING FOR QUALITY-OF-LIFE SUPPLEMENTAL DETAILS, LATERAL BONUSES, AND IT INFRASTRUCTURE IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($12,000,000.00) FROM THE ARPA DIRECT ALLOCATION AND/OR COUNTY ALLOCATION OR A COMBINATION OF FUNDING

WHEREAS, on March 11, 2021, President Biden signed into law the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (the "Act") which includes approximately $1.9 trillion in investments designed to address the public health emergency and the direct and adverse impacts to the economy, to people and to community wellbeing; and
WHEREAS the American Rescue Plan Act can support communities working to reduce and respond to increased violence due to the pandemic to allow law enforcement to respond to the rise more efficiently and effectively in gun violence resulting from the pandemic; and
WHEREAS The City of New Haven is proposing to use American Rescue Plan Act funding for Quality-of-Life Supplemental Details, lateral bonuses, and IT Infrastructure

WHEREAS the City did not need the entire portion allocated for revenue loss (Estimate was $18M) and will reallocate the funding to cover the projects listed above.
