ORDER OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERS APPROVING A PETITION FOR THE INCLUSION OF THE EVEN SIDE OF MORRIS STREET BETWEEN LAMBERTON STREET AND THE RAILROAD TRACKS INTO THE EXISTING RESIDENTIAL PARKING

WHEREAS: residents in the area have submitted a petition requesting a Residential Parking Zone, citing that on-street parking is frequently insufficient for those who live on Morris Street; and
WHEREAS: residents have stated that the problem is severe, as there has been a continuous increase in the number of non-residents who take up all of the parking spaces, leaving residents with nowhere to park; and
WHEREAS: residents believe that a Residential Parking Zone will be of great help to ease parking issues for area residents who are presently struggling with a serious shortage of on-street parking in the area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the New Haven Board of Alders that a the Residential Parking Zone established on the odd side of Morris Street be amended to include on the even side of Morris Street (between Lamberton Street and the Railroad tracks at the dead end).
