ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE # 1 AUTHORIZING RECLASSIFICATION OF GENERAL FUND POSITIONS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEPARTMENT OF PARKS/PUBLIC WORKS, OFFICE OF INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY, CORPORATION COUNSEL, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES ADMINISTRATION AND FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-TWO DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS $85,882 BE TRANSFERRED FROM SALARY RESERVE ACCOUNT (1-407-1010-50110) TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS/PUBLIC WORKS (1-504-1010-50110), OFFICE OF INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY (1-137-1120-50110), FINANCE DEPARTMENT (1-137-1110-50110) CORPORATION COUNSEL (1-133-1010-50110), AND COMMUNITY SERVICES ADMINISTRATION (1-308-1010-5010FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020-21

WHEREAS, Article VIII, Section 3 of the City Charter and Section 2-386 of the Code of General Ordinances requires the approval of the Board of Alders to create a position not included in the budget as adopted, or to reclassify an existing and included position; to increase the total annual salary estimate included in an appropriation for any reason; or the transfer of funds within the General Fund Operating Budget as adopted; and
WHEREAS, The Department of Parks/Public Works, Office of Information and Technology, Corporation Counsel, and Community Services Administration are seeking approval to reclassify vacant/filled position(s) within their departments; and,
WHEREAS, The Department of Parks/Public Works, Office of Information and Technology, Corporation Counsel, and Community Services Administration are requesting Board of Alder Approval to make the following position reclassifications within FY 2020-21 budget:

WHEREAS, The fiscal year 2020-21 Board of Alder approved budget, appropriated a line item for salary reserve, which is a line item appropriation reserved for bargaining unit raises, Executive Management raises, or other personnel matters related to salaries or salary adjustments
WHEREAS, Funds from the salary reserve account will be transferred to The Department of Parks/Public Works, Office of Information and Technology, Corporation Counsel, and Community Services Administration salary accounts to cover the difference of for each position change listed above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the New Haven Board of Alders that the re-classification of the positions for The Department of Parks/Public Works, Office of Information and Technology, Corporation Counsel, and Community Services be reclassified and funds in the amount of Eighty-Five Thousand, Eight Hundred and Eighty-Two Dollars and Zero Cents $85,882 be transferred from salary reserve account (1-407-1010-50110) to The Department of Parks/Public Works (1-504-1010-50110), Office of Information and Technology (1-137-1120-50110), Corporation Counsel (1-133-1010-50110), and Community Services Administration (1-308-1010-5010)
