ORDER GRANTING LEAVE TO WITHDRAW TO THE COMMUNICATION TITLED “RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN TO APPLY FOR AND ACCEPT A GRANT AWARD TO ESTABLISH AN INTEGRATED CASE MANAGEMENT MODEL FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE, FROM OCTOBER 1, 2020 TO DECEMBER 31, 2023”.

 

BODY

 

WHEREAS, the New Haven Community Services Administration / Prison Reentry Department recognizes the importance of providing New Haven’s returning residents from incarceration with integrated case management services to ensure successful transitions into the community.

 

WHEREAS, the City of New Haven application for funding from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance; and upon receipt of such grant, the City will accept said grant in its entirety;

 

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance) has provided the City of New Haven Community Services Administration / Prison Reentry Department the opportunity to apply for funding under the Correctional Adult Reentry Education, Employment, and Recidivism Reduction Strategies (CAREERRS) to improve educational, vocational and employment outcomes of ex-offenders; and

 

WHEREAS, The U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance) did not select city’s application for funding under the Correctional Adult Reentry Education, Employment, and Recidivism Reduction Strategies (CAREERRS) grant;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by Board of AlderS of the City of New Haven that communication regarding titled “RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN TO APPLY FOR AND ACCEPT A GRANT AWARD TO ESTABLISH AN INTEGRATED CASE MANAGEMENT MODEL FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE, FROM OCTOBER 1, 2020 TO DECEMBER 31, 2023” be and hereby is granted leave to withdraw.
