ORDER TO READ AND FILE TYRONE GRANT’S REQUEST FOR THE BOARD OF ALDERS REVIEW OF HIS REQUEST FOR COMPENSATION FROM THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN

WHEREAS: Mr. Tyrone Grant, after discussing his longstanding case with the City’s Corporation Counsel was told that he should present it to the Board of Alders; and
WHEREAS: Mr. Grant was told by Corporation Counsel that if the Board of Alders authorizes a settlement the Corporation Counsel will carry it out; and
WHEREAS: as a result, Mr. Grant submitted a formal request for a committee of the Board to review his case and make a recommendation to the Corporation Counsel in the hope “that after all these years (he) can finally get what he believes is due to (him)”; and
WHEREAS: Mr. Grant’s request was referred to the Finance Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED BY THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERS that the letter be filed.
