ORDINANCE AMENDMENT OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERS TO APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE # 1 RECLASSIFYING POSITION 100 DEPUTY MANAGER/PUBLIC SAFETY IN FINANCE DEPARTMENT IT DIVISION TO SUPERVISOR OF APPLICATIONS

WHEREAS, Article VIII, Section 3 of the City Charter and Section 2-383 (1) of the Code of General Ordinances requires the approval of the Board of Alders for the transfer of funds within the General Fund Operating Budget, as adopted and Section 2-386 of the Code of General Ordinances requires the approval of the Board of Alders to create a position not included in the budget as adopted, or to reclassify an existing and included position; and

 

WHEREAS, the DEPUTY MANAGER/PUBLIC SAFETY in the IT Division recently retired; and

 

WHEREAS, the title was created through a labor stipulation; and

 

WHEREAS, the roles and responsibilities while specific to public safety mirror those of the Supervisor of Applications; and

 

WHEREAS, having two Supervisors of Applications will allow for redundancy; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the New Haven Board of Alders that the title of DEPUTY MANAGER/PUBLIC SAFETY in the IT Division be retitled to SUPERVISOR OF APPLICATIONS.
