ORDER OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERS TO APPROVE THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF EDUCATION AND THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS ASSOCIATION OF NEW HAVEN, INC., AFSA LOCAL 18, FROM JULY 1, 2026, TO JUNE 30, 2029

Body
WHEREAS, the New Haven Board of Education and the School Administrators Association of New Haven, Inc., AFSA Local 18 reached a tentative agreement on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with a term from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029; and

 

WHEREAS, the School Administrators Association of New Haven, Inc., AFSA Local 18, obtained support from its membership to ratify this tentative agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, the New Haven Board of Education voted to approve this tentative agreement at its Regular Meeting on January 12, 2026; and

 

WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of New Haven requires the approval of the Board of Alders for multi-year professional services agreements.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED by the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven that the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the New Haven Board of Education and the New Haven School Administrators Association, Inc., AFSA Local 18, is hereby approved.

 

BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that the President of the Board of Education or the Mayor is authorized to execute the Collective Bargaining Agreement as well as such additional instruments as may be deemed necessary or expedient to implement its terms.
