ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN APPROVING THE STREET CLOSURE OF CROWN STREET FROM HIGH STREET TO YORK STREET FOR THE 2026 FIESTA DE CALLE CORONA ON FRIDAY, APRIL 24, 2026

WHEREAS, the Fiesta de Calle Corona shall be held on April 24, 2026, from 5PM to 10PM; and
WHEREAS, Despierta Boricua, is a recognized Student Organization at Yale and has received approval for the event from the Office of Student Affairs; and
WHEREAS, this event requires the closure of College Street from High Street to York Street from 3:30PM to 12AM; and
WHEREAS, the organizers have demonstrated support of the local businesses/property owners; and
WHEREAS, the local Alder has submitted a letter of support.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED THAT the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven hereby authorizes the street closures of College Street from High Street to York Street for the Fiesta de Calle Corona on Friday, April 24, 2026.
