ORDER OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERS APPROVING THE DESIGNATION OF A RESIDENTIAL PARKING ZONE ON MINOR STREET BETWEEN HOWARD AVENUE AND CEDAR STREET.

WHEREAS, a residential parking zone would significantly ease parking issues for area residents struggling
with little or no on street parking; and
WHEREAS, residents in the area have signed a petition for consideration of a Residential Parking Zone in the area; and
WHEREAS, a residential parking zone would improve the quality of life by reducing traffic hazards and provide safe access during the late evening when transporting groceries/heavy items.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the New Haven Board of Alders that a Residential Parking Zone would improve the needs of area residents and would be of significant benefit to the entire community.
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that the Department of Transportation, Traffic & Parking is directed to process the appropriate documents for submission to the New Haven Traffic Authority.
