ORDER OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERS APPROVING THE BUS STOP ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM MASTER MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT BETWEEN STATE OF CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN.

WHEREAS, in an effort to standardize the appearance and functionality of bus stops in the state, the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (CT DOT) secured funding and initiated competitive procurements for the design and installation of certain enhancements at bus stops along CT DOT funded transit routes;
WHEREAS, New Haven has certain bus stops located along various transit routes and in consideration for the design, procurement, and installation of the enhancements at the bus stops, the City of New Haven has agreed to accept ownership and management of the enhancements at the bus stops and be responsible for those items and standards as set forth in the agreement at its sole cost and expense; and
WHEREAS, the enhancements will be at fifteen (15) shelter locations that have been identified to be in the worst condition and are not impacted by BRT or any other projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven that the Bus Stop Enhancement Program Master Maintenance Agreement between the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation and the City of New Haven is approved.
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED by the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven that the Mayor is authorized to sign the agreement and any other documents necessary for the program with the State of Connecticut.
