ORDER OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERS AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN (MAYOR, CONTROLLER, OR BUDGET DIRECTOR) TO EXTEND AT NO COST THE MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH YALE UNIVERSITY (A22-1176) IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THIRTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY-TWO DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($3,513,842.00) FOR ONE YEAR THROUGH JUNE 30, 2026 TO CONTINUE IMPLEMENTATION AND OPERATION OF THE ELM CITY COMPASS PILOT PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, The City of New Haven entered into an Agreement (A22-1176) with Yale University on May 1, 2022 expiring June 30, 2025 for a maximum amount not to exceed Three Million Five Hundred Thirteen Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($3,513,842.00); and,
WHEREAS, The Agreement for professional services contracts Yale University to implement and evaluate the New Haven Community Crisis Response Team known as Elm City COMPASS (Compassionate Allies Serving Our Streets); and,
WHEREAS, The City selected the contractor and executed the agreement to perform services for the terms and conditions set forth herein pursuant to RFP 2020-11-353; and,
WHEREAS, Yale University has been a responsible steward of contract funds and program implementation and evaluation is on-going; and,
WHEREAS, The City is seeking approval to execute an extension at no cost to the City from the original expiration date of June 30, 2025 for one additional year for a new contract end date of June 30, 2026, pending Board of Alder Approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the New Haven Board of Alders, that the City of New Haven’s Mayor or Controller is authorized to renew the Agreement by and between the City of New Haven and Yale University for Professional Services through June 30, 2026 for implementing and evaluating the Elm City COMPASS in an amount not to exceed Three Million Five Hundred Thirteen Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($3,513,842.00).
