ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN APPROVING THE STREET CLOSURE EXTENSION OF GEORGE STREET AT THE ORANGE STREET INTERSECTION FOR THE SUMMER NEW HAVEN NIGHT MARKET EVENT ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2026.

WHEREAS, each year members of the community is invited to this free public event to celebrate the City;
WHEREAS, last year the same such event took place on Orange Street from George St. along Chapel St. & Court St.;
WHEREAS, this event supports efforts of City tourism, resident pride, and local commerce;
WHEREAS, to facilitate the setup for this event the organizers have requested the street closure extension of George St at the Orange St. intersection during the day of the event, with access available to local business deliveries and residents prior to the event start time
WHEREAS, the event will run from 5PM-10PM;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED The Board of Alders of The City Of New Haven approves the road closure extension of George Street at the Orange Street Intersection for The Fall New Haven Night Market Event on Friday, October 9, 2026 (Rain Date Saturday, October 10, 2026)
