ORDER OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERS AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN (MAYOR, CONTROLLER OR BUDGET DIRECTOR) TO EXECUTE A SIX-MONTH NO-COST CONTRACT EXTENSION FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAVEN’S CONTRACT # 2023-CON-0288, WHICH IS TO CONDUCT A FORMATIVE AND PROCESS EVALUATION OF THE VIOLENCE REDUCTION PROGRAM FOR REINTEGRATION, ENGAGEMENT, SAFETY AND SUPPORT (PRESS).

WHEREAS, the City of New Haven awarded a contract to the University of New Haven, effective July 1, 2023, with an end date of June 30, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the University of New Haven was awarded the contract after a panel reviewed the request for proposal application; and,
WHEREAS, the University of New Haven requested time until December 31, 2024, to complete the evaluation due to unforeseen delays; and,
WHEREAS, the formative and process evaluation of the violence reduction initiative PRESS is vital to ensure that resources are being used appropriately; and,
WHEREAS, the City is seeking approval to execute a six-month non-cost extension for the University of New Haven’s contract #2023-CON-0288.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the New Haven Board of Alders that the City Mayor, Controller, or Budget Director be authorized to execute a six-month non-cost contract extension for the University of New Haven’s contract #2023-CON-0288.
NOW, LET IT BE FURTHER ORDERED by the New Haven Board of Alders that the Mayor, City Controller or Budget Director be authorized to modify or endorse any additional required documents to fully execute the six-month no-cost contract extension #2023-CON-0288 with the University of New Haven.
