ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN APPROVING THE CLOSURE OF FRONT STREET BETWEEN PIERPONT STREET AND EXCHANGE STREET ON SATURDAY, MAY 30TH, 2026.

WHEREAS, the Friends Center for Children shall host the annual Family Stroll & Festival on Saturday, May 30, 2026; and

WHEREAS, the rain date of the Family Stroll & Festival is Sunday, May 31, 2026; and

WHEREAS, the Family Stroll & Festival will be held from the hours of 9:00AM to 2:00PM; and

WHEREAS, the City of New Haven recognizes that the Family Stroll & Festival has continued to grow annually with increased attendance and vendor participation; and

WHEREAS, the closure of Front Street between Pierpont Street and Exchange Street shall begin at 7am and last until 2pm to accommodate event setup.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED by the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven that the closure of Front Street between Pierpont Street and Exchange Street on Saturday, May 30^th, 2026 is hereby approved; and

BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that approval is granted for the alternative rain date of Sunday, May 31^st, 2026.
