ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PROJECT AUTHORIZATION LETTER (PAL), HIGHWAY TRANSFER LETTER, SECTION 4(f) CONCURRENCE LETTER AND ANY SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS RELATED TO- CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PROJECT #92-681- SAFETY, CAPACITY AND OPERATIONAL IMPROVEMENTS AT THE INTERSECTION OF ROUTE 745 (KIMBERLY AVENUE) AND ROUTE 10 (ELLA T. GRASSO BOULEVARD)

WHEREAS, The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) intends to undertake the Construction to implement Safety, Capacity, Operational and Active-transportation improvements at the intersection of Route 10 (Ella T. Grasso Boulevard) and Route 745 (Kimberley Avenue); and,
WHEREAS, the CTDOT's Office of Environmental Planning Unit has determined that the project does not adversely affect the activities, features or attributes of Kimberly Park; and,
WHEREAS, the City of New Haven will take ownership of and be responsible for maintenance, repairs, rehabilitation and snow and ice removal on a segment of SR 745 from its intersection with Route 10, south of the I-95 overpass (near milepost 0.95) to its terminus at the intersection of with Route 10, north of the overpass (near milepost 1.21); and,
WHEREAS, The CTDOT will administer the Construction Project; and,
WHEREAS, The CTDOT is fully funding this project under the Surface Transportation Program with eight (80%) federal funds and twenty (20%) State funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED, by the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven that the Mayor is authorized to sign a Project Authorization Letter, Highway Transfer Letter, Section 4(f) concurrence letter and any subsequent amendments related to CTDOT Project #92-681 to implement Safety, Capacity and Operational improvements at the Intersection of Route 745 (Kimberly Avenue) and Route 10 (Ella. T. Grasso Boulevard); and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that the Mayor, or his/her designee, is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of New Haven such actions as may be considered...
