RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN ACCEPTING THE LIST OF PROGRAM PROPOSALS APPLYING FOR ELIGIBILITY TO RECEIVE DONATIONS UNDER THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT 2026 NEIGHBORHOOD ASSISTANCE ACT.

WHEREAS, the Economic Development Housing Administration and Development Division of the City of New Haven has submitted a list of program proposals from non-profit organizations seeking eligibility to receive donations under the State of Connecticut 2026 Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 228a of the General Statutes of Connecticut, the submitted program proposals (Program Proposals) must be reviewed and approved by the Board of Alders following at least one public hearing, prior to submission to the State of Connecticut Commissioner of Revenue Services; and
WHEREAS, all Program Proposals have undergone thorough review to ensure full compliance with the NAA Eligibility Requirements, which include, but are not limited to:
* Verification of the organization's tax-exempt number;
* Submission of the organization's most recent Form 990;
* A project narrative describing the proposed initiative.
* Additional documentation for organizations that are not tax-exempt or municipal
agencies.
* Confirmation that the proposed program qualifies as a community program under
CGS 12-630aa et seq., serving at least 75% of individuals at or below 150% of the
poverty level.
* Assurance that the proposed programs, if executed as outlined, will positively impact
the communities they aim to serve;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN that a public hearing was held on or before July 1, 2026, on [MM/DD], 2026, by the [____] Committee of the Board of Alders; and that each Program Proposal included in the attached Exhibit A has provided the required documentation necessary to demonstrate compliance with the NAA Eligibility Requirements; and
