TITLE
ORDER OF NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERS APPROVING AND ESTABLISHING A RESIDENTIAL PARKING ZONE TO INCLUDE ALL OF HYDE STREET BETWEEN FORT HALE ROAD AND STUYVESANT AVENUE.
BODY
WHEREAS, most residents living on Hyde Street, between Fort Hale Road and Stuyvesant Avenue would like to have a Residential Parking Zone established;
WHEREAS, this street is part of a densely populated residential neighborhood;
WHEREAS, there is a real need for a Residential Parking Zone in the area considering Tweed New Haven Airport upgrades;
WHEREAS, the lack of adequate airport parking has created an increased hardship on area residents who depend on the availability of the limited area on street parking spaces to meet the basic needs of their households; and
WHEREAS, this has negatively impacted their quality of life, safety, and access to their properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the New Haven Alders that a Residential Parking Zone be and hereby is established on Hyde Street that the Department of Transportation, Traffic, and Parking is directed to process the appropriate documents for submission to the New Haven Traffic Authority.
