ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND HOMELAND SECURITY STATE AND LOCAL CYBERSECURITY GRANT PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $103,417.48 WITH A 20% COST MATCH OF $20,683.49 WITH FEDERAL FUNDS TOTALING $83,733.99 AND PERMISSION TO APPLY AND ACCEPT, EXECUTE AND IF NECESSARY, MODIFY ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS, CONTRACTS, AND SUCH INSTRUMENTS AS DEEMED NECESSARY

WHEREAS, SLCGP allows entities to address cybersecurity risks and cybersecurity threats to information systems owned or operated by, or on behalf of, state, local, or tribal government; and,
WHEREAS, The SLCGP grant will fund training and software to promote an increase in cybersecurity, preparedness, and mitigation efforts for the City of New Haven, specifically, the Board of Education and local institution of academia. The project is seeking funding for a Firewall Assessment, External Network Assessment, Internal Network Assessment, and Reporting Services; and,
WHEREAS, The project is seeking funding for a Firewall Assessment, External Network Assessment, Internal Network Assessment, and Reporting Services; and,
WHEREAS, The City of New Haven conducts an annual hazard/vulnerability assessment on an annual basis. This assessment aligns with the standards of FEMA, DHMES, and local emergency management protocols; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven supports efforts to increase cybersecurity, preparedness, and mitigation efforts for the City of New Haven.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED that the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven authorize the Mayor to accept the award, and to sign all documents and contracts as needed by the DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND HOMELAND SECURITY STATE AND LOCAL CYBERSECURITY GRANT PROGRAM
