TITLE
ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN APPROVING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ENTER INTO A MULTI YEAR AGREEMENTS FOR GREEN CLEANING SUPPLIES, PAPER PRODUCTS AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN, INCLUDING ITS BOARD OF EDUCATION
BODY
WHEREAS, The City of New Haven and its Board of Education are committed to promoting sustainability and reducing their environmental footprint; and,
WHEREAS, Green cleaning supplies are crucial for maintaining environmentally friendly practices in municipal facilities, workplaces, and operations; and,
WHEREAS, the City has identified a need for a consistent and reliable supply of green cleaning products over multiple years to ensure ongoing sustainability efforts; and,
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Purchases issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Green Cleaning Supplies, Paper Products and Equipment for the City of New Haven and the Board of Education; and,
WHEREAS, The Bureau of Purchases has determined that a multi-year agreement would leverage the City of New Haven’s ability to obtain deeper discounts and achieve greater savings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the New Haven Board of Alders authorizes the Purchasing Agent enter into multi-year agreements for Green Cleaning Supplies, Paper Products and Equipment for the City of New Haven and its Board of Education; and that the Mayor of the City of New Haven is hereby authorized to execute and deliver such agreements, and any other documentation related thereto, all with such terms and conditions, as the Mayor deems favorable for the City.
