WHEREAS: Ms. Griffin has a car registered in New Haven; and

WHEREAS: Ms. Griffin paid the Grand List 2017 on September 28, 2018; and

WHEREAS: Ms. Griffin had her car towed for taxes at 1:55 AM on September 29, 2018: and

WHEREAS: Ms. Griffin had to pay the taxes a second time plus the towing fees; and

WHEREAS: Ms. Griffin applied for a refund from the tax office, which was denied; and

WHEREAS: Ms. Griffin is requesting assistance from the Board of Alders;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED by the New Haven Board of Alders that Ms. Griffin be refunded the $222.26 that she overpaid for the first installment for account number 109910.
