ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A MONTH-TO-MONTH PARKING LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FOR USE OF THE PARKING LOT AT 78 MEADOW STREET.

WHEREAS, the Knights of Columbus is the owner of the property located at 78 Meadow Street, situated in the City of New Haven, County of New Haven and State of Connecticut; and

 

WHEREAS, the parking lot is currently not in use by Knights of Columbus and can be accessed via entry on West Water Street; and

 

WHEREAS, the New Haven Police Department is seeking to enter into a month-to-month Parking License Agreement with the Knights of Columbus at no cost to City; and

 

WHEREAS, in the proposed parking license agreement, the City agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Knights of Columbus and its affiliates and that the New Haven Police Department has adequate liability insurance or equivalent coverage.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven that the Parking License Agreement is hereby approved and that the Mayor of the City of New Haven is authorized to execute and deliver the Parking License Agreement on behalf of the City; and

 

BE IT FURTHER ORDERED by the Board of Alders that the Mayor of the City of New Haven is authorized to execute and deliver such other documentation, including but not limited to indemnification provisions, as may be necessary in order to carry out the purposes and intent of this Order.
