ORDER OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO ENTER INTO A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH THOMSON REUTERS, A WEST PUBLISHING CORPORATION, TO SUBSCRIBE TO WESTLAW ONLINE LEGAL RESEARCH DATABASES

WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) was advertised, solicitation #2024-12-1618 On-Line Legal Research Service for the City of New Haven Office of Corporation Counsel; and,
WHEREAS, Thomson Reuters, a West Publishing Corporation, submitted a Proposal and was selected; and,
WHEREAS, the Office of Corporation Counsel anticipates that the services with Thomson Reuters, a West Publishing Corporation, to be more efficient and cost effective to perform legal research; and,
WHEREAS, it is expected that the funds are available for these future Agreements from line item GF 11331010-55530 in FY 2024-2025 (Year 1), FY 2025-2026 (Year 2) and FY 2026-2027 (Year 3) with three (3) one-year renewal options.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED that the New Haven Board of Alders, acting pursuant to Section 60 of the Charter of the City of New Haven approve a multi-year Agreement with Thomson Reuters, a West Publishing Corporation, by which the City would subscribe through its Office of Corporation Counsel to Westlaw Edge, on-line legal databases, commencing July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027 with three (3) one-year renewal options., at the following or at comparable rates:
